I rang in the new year by photographing a lot of babies and it was fantastic.

This little sweetie lives just a few blocks away in a house that my family toured while house hunting in Moorestown a few year ago. It was so fun to meet her parents and see the wonderful job that they've done rennovating:}

Of course it was great hang out with this adorable snuggle bug for a few hours too:}

Sweet Baby {South Jersey Baby Photographer}

I'm just loving the baby boom in NJ this winter! I love meeting my newest clients and their families. There is just something about a newborn baby, they get me every time. I love that they are full of personality and unique from day one.




There is still time to get in on the winter newborn special ~ all newborn sessions in March include 25 custom designed birth announcements.

Newborns are best photographered before the baby is 2 weeks old. Newborn session are booked when the mother is expecting and a session date is chosen shortly after the baby's birthday.

Much like when Katrina happened, watching the news on the horrible situation in Haiti saddens and frustrates me. There are many incredibly brave men and women who are out there volunteering their time and risking their lives to help. I wish I was in a position and of strong enough constitution to do the same.

But I’m not.

Inspired by Michelle of Pinkletoes Photography and Lyndsay of Life in Motion Photography, I am going to try to do something to help. But, I need you, too! Here’s the deal:

You could win a custom photo session with me:)
• This session will be photographed me and will be held the on Saturday, February 6th.
• Session is for up to 3 people and will last between 1-2 hours.
• Winner will also receive 15 fully processed, high resolution images on CD. Print to your heart’s content!
How to win:
• Make a MINIMUM donation of $10 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.
• Forward a copy of your receipt to lisa@lisatrakis.com.
• All entries must be RECEIVED by midnight (Eastern Standard time) on January 27th.
• Winner will be drawn at random and notified on January 28th.
• That gives you a week to shop for something fabulous;-)
• You can enter as many times as you’d like, but each entry must be the minimum $10 donation.

• Session participants must sign a model release.

Happy Harvest! {South Jersey Child Photographer}

Aahhh. There is nothing better than crisp fall air, adorable models, and beautiful foliage for portraits.



I'm hoping for great weather in November, all of this weekend rain is wreaking havoc on my portrait schedule. As of now I have two available spots for the mini sessions this Saturday (November 7th) and I'm booking for January 2010 for full sessions.

Magical Morning {Haddonfield Child Photographer}

I had such a wonderful time this week photographing one of my favorite families!

Now this shot is a little different than the close-up-looking-right-into-the-camera shot that I normally share in my sneak peeks...this just speaks to me and I adore it. There is something magical in the lovely morning light, and the content smile of a carefree 3 year old on his swing.


Speaking of magic, this is a new favorite of.all.time...I just keep going back to look at this one. It doesn't get much sweeter than this!

I'm going to tag this as an example of What-to-Wear. I'm often asked how families should dress for portraits and this look has everything I would recommend: color, texture, layers, a fabulous coordinated color palette that isn't too matchy-matchy, and last but not least custom hats from etsy!
