Session Availability...

Just a quick note on session availability. I am completely booked for May, a few spaces are still available for June!

As always, I will do my best to squeeze in newborns (under 2 weeks old). If you are expecting and plan to have your newborn photographed, please call or email with your EDD so I can pencil you into to my calender.

I hope you're all enjoying the gorgeous weather this week!

My guy today...

Despite what some of you may think, it is not easy for me to get great photos of my son. He is going on 20 months, and to say he's active is an understatement! Today was a good day...we had a blast playing in a nearby orchard.

In case anyone else is in the same boat, here's a tip for photographing toddlers - have fun! No seriously, I find that when I'm fiddling with my camera and trying to tell my son where to sit, it never works out, it is frustrating for both of us. Ninety-nine out of 100 toddlers will not sit happily for a photo session, you need to give them an activity, talk to them, engage them, play peek-a-boo, have fun...then snap a few photos, then repeat. If they are having fun and you are having fun it will show in the photos! With toddlers, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.
Happy Snapping:)

Another handsome guy....

getting ready for his First Holy Communion!

He is so hilarious and definitely wins the world record for making the most silly faces during a session - so talented! I am cracking up at the outtakes from today. Here is one of my favorite outtakes -

Spring is in the air and I couldn't be happier...

I have been longing for warm weather and all the good stuff that comes along with it, like gorgeous spring blooms as the backdrop for outdoor sessions. This one really makes me smile {as always click on the image to see it BIG}...

Today's session was really all about this handsome guy who is about to receive his First Holy Communion, thanks for being a good sport today JP - I know you would rather watch the Phillies than have your photo taken!

Even though today was all about JP, it was fun snapping a few photos of his sisters while he was getting ready:)

Until next time,

There's just something about newborns...

I love photographing newborns, I would do it every day if I could. Yesterday I had the opportunity to spend the day learning from the fabulous Jodie Otte , her newborn work is simply stunning.

I am so excited about what I learned yesterday that I can not wait until my next newborn session soooo... I decided to offer a special opportunity to my blog readers. I am offering a complimentary newborn session including a 5x7 print to the first brand new or expectant Mom that emails me @ lisatrakisphoto@yahoo.com

The conditions....
- your estimated delivery date must be in April or May 2008
- the session must take place within 15 miles of zip code 08096
- the session must take place before the baby is 2 weeks old (6-10 days old is the ideal time to photograph newborns)
- images may be used on my website and marketing materials.

In addition, all 2008 newborn sessions booked before May 1, 2008 will receive a complimentary 8x10 print. Newborn sessions are tentatively book approximately 1 week after the EDD and exact dates/times are chosen after the baby is born.

Until next time,
L
